Heavy Truck Diesel Mechanic
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting:
Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in diesel trucks and trailers.
Use diagnostic tools and software to identify faults and recommend corrective actions.
Perform DOT inspections and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Maintenance & Repairs:
Conduct routine maintenance: oil changes, brake service, filter replacements, tire rotations, etc.
Repair or replace engines, transmissions, fuel systems, cooling systems, and drivetrains.
Maintain air brake systems, suspension components, and hydraulic systems.
Field Service Support:
Provide mobile repair services to job sites as needed.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform on-site troubleshooting.
Coordinate with operators and site supervisors to minimize equipment downtime.
Parts & Inventory:
Track parts usage and maintain accurate inventory records.
Order parts and supplies in coordination with the Fleet Manager.
Maintain organized workspaces and ensure tools are in good working condition.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow OSHA, DOT, and company safety protocols at all times.
Maintain detailed service logs and repair documentation.
